Ten snaps via the Nikon using the 18-55mm lens, and the Primary lens today, more to come!
Today has been an interesting day. I decided early today that I wasn’t going to set on my bum all day at home so on a random moment I decided to take another drive through the Pass and north to Pahrump in Nye County. I know, Pahrump! Such an odd name. A certain person I once was married to would joke that we went to Pahrump to take a dump! I wanted to go to a regular restaurant where you walk in and set down. I stopped at the Denny’s. Bad choice but I couldn’t know…
Walking in, nobody was manning the register, nor was anyone there to seat customers. So I just seated myself. After waiting a few minutes, nobody approached me to take an order or give me the Menu. Seriously? I’m going to send an email to their Corporate. Yeah, I’m one of those people! I tried another place, too busy so I walked out. All this in a tiny Podunk town!
So, I hit Burger King, aka Booger King or Booger Slime. Thanks for the upset stomach, BK! I drove around the little town and snapped some photos of places I hadn’t photographed during previous visits and even drove west to the border between Nevada and California. Snapped a few photos of the signs, exciting stuff eh? Then headed back east toward Pahrump. No, I didn’t take a dump.
On the way back home I passed through some brief rain showers which were probably the same showers that I ended up photographing on the other side of the mountains, in the Red Rock Canyon area which are the photos you see below. And I just cleaned my truck up too! Today, I used the Nikon 18-55mm lens and the Nikon Prime Lens, getting away for a change from my apparent addiction to that big old 70-300mm zoom lens. Lens addiction eh? Hmmm. Much more to come from today, stick around friends!
