Driving Through The Park

I took a different drive today through Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Instead of heading toward the Hoover Dam, I headed north and followed the road that roughly parallels Lake Mead for the forty-plus miles or so. Once you reach Overton, the road stops heading north and turns west which puts you right square in the Valley Of Fire.

Passing through that park which doesn’t very long, you’ll have about a twelve mile drive to arrive at Interstate Fifteen which you can take directly back into Las Vegas as some of the photos show. It’s a short thirty mile drive back into Las Vegas from the Valley Of Fire area. This was a great local day trip, one I may just do again soon!
