The Pressure’s Too High!

I got home early from work and had the usual headache due to my blood pressure as mentioned in a previous post. Well, this afternoon the pressure went too high. My old BP machine pooped out this morning so I purchased a new one on the way home. My first reading on the new machine was 200/120. Holy shit.

I called my doctor’s office straight away, they told me to come in to the office right away which I did. To make the story short, I have an appointment with a Cardiologist tomorrow afternoon. Every one of my Vitals are normal, even my blood glucose. This calls for the expertise of a different kind of doctor, or Specialist.

I have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on here, and I’m anxious a heck. How could you not be to some point considering the danger involved with high blood pressure, or what the doctor referred to as Out Of Control Hyper Tension. That name alone sounds scary as hell.

Such a fun post! I’ll have more on this later tomorrow, the doctor told me to stay home from work tomorrow. Lay around, take it easy. Left a Voice Mail for my boss. She won’t be happy I’m sure but I’ll take my doctor’s advice over feeling bad about missing work, any old day. Back tomorrow, friends!

  1. Hope it gets under control John- isn’t your job physically exerting? I would think that would contribute. I hope it is a matter of tweaking meds and getting you back on track. Rest up, take care
