Valley Of Fire

First I want to say that I’m disappointed with these photos because one key ingredient is missing: a solid light source. Leaving Vegas, the sun was out as it was when I returned. As I was leaving the Valley of Fire, it rained hard as hell too. I used both my lenses today but mostly the 18-55mm with it’s new lens hood.

The photos just aren’t what I wanted but hey, I was invested in the trip, about an hour run north on the fifteen freeway. May as well keep heading north. All in all it isn’t a complete loss but I know I can do better work. The nice lady at the entrance booth, a ten dollar fee by the way, thinks the valley looks better with the sun hiding. Not!!
