SSN’s On The Web – 2

Following is the response I expected from this corporation:

Hi John,

Thank you for your response. The information is required when filling out the application. If you want to be considered for a position you will need to submit your application online.

Seriously? No surprise that Americans have come to hate big corporations.

    1. I knew you’d come back for this one! Yeah, they just blew me off. Typical corporate bullshit, and that was basically what I said in my last reply to them, Rebekah. Just another reason why online job apps should be outlawed. It’s for the convenience of the companies. I need an emoji that shows a hand flipping someone off. hehe

      1. I look at all posts, but yes, I was really interested in this. I haven’t worked since I got here, so that’s twelve years now. I don’t know how anything works here in North America, when it comes to work, except that it’s very different.

I find it strange, that you’re required to provide your SSN. Here, that number seems to be so secret, so how can they ask such a thing in this day and age of identity theft?! It’s beyond me. I don’t know how it is here in Canada, but I’ll try and find out.
